Financial Policies

Kawartha Lakes Bible College operates on the principle of faith in God for the supply of its needs and seeks to hour this principle in the administration of all its financial dealings. Remuneration of all staff and faculty is accordance with funds available and no employee is remunerated on a commission basis. Spending of funds is confined to board approved programs and purchases. Each gift designated toward an approved program will be used as designated with the understanding that when any given need has been met, designated gifts will be used where needed most. Gifts are acknowledged and an official receipt for income tax purposes is issued annually. Financial contributors will be provided with audited financial statements and comprehensive information on the ministry of KLBC upon request. In the event that any person is contemplating making a donation to KLBC which in our opinion will significantly affect his/her financial position or income or which may adversely affect the donor's relationship with family members, KLBC will advise and encourage independent professional advice.

Accommodation

All full-time single students are expected to live in the dorms at KLBC which will be assigned in accordance with availability. Students requesting an exemption from this policy must submit their written request to the administration.

Married students must find their own housing in the Peterborough area. We suggest that you arrive in Peterborough prior to the beginning of school to arrange for housing.

The residence rooms are double occupancy with washroom, with two bedrooms per apartment, sharing a kitchen and sitting area. The main building also contains a large student lounge, kitchen, games room, and laundry facilities available to students. Students are responsible for their own food. The cost for residence is $3000 for the academic year.

Students will pay a room deposit of $150 which will be returned at the end of the year upon completion of a successful room inspection.

Student Scholarships

Limited monies have been given to KLBC specifically designated for "student financial assistance." Scholarships are distributed in accordance with funds available. See Available Scholarships
