International Students

Foreign students from non-English speaking countries are advised to apply at least 6 months before their planned enrolment date, to allow time for processing, acquiring student visas, etc. It is the applicants responsibility to provide documentation which verifies that he or she has an education equivalent to high school graduation. Transcripts must be sent from all schools previously attended, translated into English.

After applying, but before registering, the student must show evidence of meeting Canadian immigration requirements (student visa, health coverage, etc.). International students are responsible for arranging their own health coverage.

To obtain a student visa, international students must apply through Canadian Immigration officials in their home country. These officials will want to see an official letter of acceptance, medical insurance as well as a evidence to demonstrate that sufficient funds or sponsorship is available. If the applicants first language is not English, results from TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) must be sent directly to Kawartha Lakes Bible College. KLBC requires:
  • a total of 550 on the Paper-based test with a minimum score of 53 in each category or
  • a total of 80 on the Internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in each of the categories
Tests can be obtained from:
